I think the toughest part of this assignment was capturing the feelings that are conveyed in Brassaï's images. I think I was most successful at doing this in the photo I captured of my roommate as we were walking to dinner on Thursday night. I tried to capture the bounce in her step to show her excitement for the end of the week and a night out. The same carefree attitude can be seen in Brassaï's picture that he captured of an individual skipping through the streets of Paris. To capture better photos in the future I want to take pictures of my subjects by surprise so I can capture the natural emotions of my subjects. I think this would allow me to create more candid and raw photos.

I like the picture you posted. I think you did a great job emulating Simone Bramante’s photo by using monochromatic colors and the top view and you were able to emulate the work without directly copying the original. I also liked the other two photos you captured that weren't included in your blog post. Link: https://brookebellissimo.weebly.com/blog
