Dozen Photo Challenge

I believe that the photo on the right is the best photo taken for this assignment because of the effect the side lighting has on the subject. The way the light hits the side of the subject causes only parts of the object to be directly affected by the light. You can also see the shadow that is present to the left of the object as a result of this side lighting. The most challenging part of this assignment was finding good lighting for my photos. The amount of lighting that was present when taking some of the photos had a negative impact on the quality of the photos. To produce higher quality photos in the future I will ensure that I have better lighting to optimize the quality of my photos. I also want to find new subject matter to photograph for future posts.

High Perspective

I like how you chose to photograph the same location from two different angles during this challenge. You can see from your two images that the lighting can change the feel of the images and create different atmosphere by simply changing the direction the image was taken from. I personally love the clarity seen in the front lighting image but I also enjoy the warmth conveyed by the back lighting and the addition of the sun to your image. I am drawn to the slight differences between your two images and find it interesting they were only taken three minutes apart.
