I believe that the photo below is the best photo taken for this assignment because of the effect the side lighting has on the subject. The way the light hits the side of the subject causes only parts of the object to be directly affected by the light. You can also see the shadow that is present to the left of the object as a result of this side lighting. The most challenging part of this assignment was finding good lighting for my photos. The amount of lighting that was present when taking some of the photos had a negative impact on the quality of the photos. To produce higher quality photos in the future I will ensure that I have better lighting to optimize the quality of my photos. I also want to find new subject matter to photograph for future posts.
The photo of the plush toy by the window is quite nice because of the way the light shines on one side, making it look more interesting and three-dimensional. The shadow on the left adds a nice touch, too. The toy is in good focus, and the background is blurry, which keeps our attention on the toy. The light and colors in the picture make it feel warm and pleasant. It's a simple yet effective photo that might remind someone of happy, quiet moments.
